Mobile Device Procedures

PROCEDURES FOR OBTAINING A MOBILE DEVICE:

READ ALL STEPS CAREFULLY!!!! All steps with links can be found at the link above or below.

  • Step One - Purchase insurance ($27) HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Lenovo/HP only. No Apple or Dell. If you decide to not purchase SECURANTY insurance a school technology fee ($5, $10 or $20 - based on lunch qualifications) will be applied to the student account that MUST BE PAID in OSP or in cash to the school treasurer. You will be responsible for any repairs/damages up to $500. Just get the insurance! 

  • Step Two - Sign it out - Follow all directions carefully (lookup student ID, click "view policy," agree to the terms of service, complete all boxes and submit ). 

  • Step Three - Student should check with the the school’s Asset Manager, MR. WILSON.  Mr. Wilson will be able to verify that insurance has been paid (you might want to take proof of insurance just to make things move faster) and that the Mobile Device Agreement has been signed!  If you opt not to purchase insurance, your child will be charged a technology fee at the time of pick up. Pick up your device with the charger.  Remember to log in once at school before taking the device home!

  • Step Four - Confirm and take it home - You will receive a receipt via your student email once you have checked out your device.  Confirm that the device provided to you matches the information in the receipt and keep this receipt in your email as a record of the device that was checked out to you in the event that the device is lost, stolen, or damaged.  Students can also log in to the District’s Asset Management System:  IncidentIQ to check on any asset assigned to them.
